These mistakes are the one that I always pray to God when my clients are about to give their image. It’s not like I’m being picky but it’s more like I want to help their funnels look more professional and feel real. I love when funnel design looks genuine where funnel can bring out the voice, the gesture virtually of the owner’s brand. This is one dilemma that I wish you as business owners will not do in your funnel.
Pictures are not professionally taken.
This is the only one. Professional doesn’t mean you need to spend a fortune to get your photo taken. Please help yourself by finding a studio or freelancers if you want to cut costs. Here I focus only for 3 parts since I don’t want to make 2000 words of article here :
1. Person
2. Products3. Brick and mortar shop
Person.
If you are a coach or influencer. Portrait mode , formal photo, candid photos and photos of you doing your business (such as giving a speech, training your client in the gym and you know the drill). Plus you’ll look more trusted when your pictures are taken professionally. These photos of yours can be used millions of times without worrying about any copyright issues. Yes, not all pictures on the internet you can use freely ( I think we all know that).
Products.
Ecommerce products are either big, small or gigantic. All of them need to be taken with a good angle, lighting and situation. We live in the digital era. Even in dating we just swipe right or left when you are interested or not interested in someone. So does your product, remember your audience can’t touch or feel your product. Show zoom in zoom out your product, how people use it , what type of colors they have. Remove background noises. Yeah, that’s right. Your product doesn’t need that Narnia background.
Brick and mortar shop.
For a classic startup the picture of you and your staff or even with your wife and kids in the shop is a good start. Formal smiley face lining up while standing in front of your shop. You can imagine it. But to make your funnel look different from others you need to show something different than that. Show your daily routine there. How you make morning briefing in the morning, how your staff speak with your customers, how hectic your shops look during the peak season. These pictures will give the sense of experiencing your shop virtually.
Don’t make light of your pictures since your brand and originality can be expressed through them. Your funnel will look different than competitors since you can feel how genuine you are through the effort of the pictures.
That’s a wrap.
