Studying competitors is one of the common playground for us as business owners. It’s become healthy competition for us and our competitors if we do it well. It’s a win-win situation. But here you are stuck on how to make your competitors eat dusk. In this competition you need to be as creative as possible because this is the battle of wits.
Here I only can share my perspective of a designer but the differences between you and your competitors is up to your ace cards. There are 3 main parts of competitors’ funnel that you must brainstorm.
Title of Hero image.
Why the title but not the hero image itself? The title literally gives the overall view of your whole funnel. We love to skim through when involved with words. If they make the title controversial you can counter them by being more controversial or opposite of them. The main point is to hook your clients’ attention as much as you can. Bring all the big guns in this title. I suggest using Twitter as your bible since that one particular social media that only dominates in terms of title eye-catching usage compared to other social medias.
Storyline of your funnel.
Based on the title you need to make the best storyline that can give butterflies in your audience’s stomach. All of your benefits, features and offers need to be crafted by you alone. Your voice plays a lot in this Romeo Juliet drama. Make your Juliet go crazy to your Romeo adventures. Design of the funnel should support your storyline. Every producer needs to have extraordinary actors to make the next box office hit. Make sure your copy and design are balanced like yin and yang. If you just focus on either one your funnel won’t survive.
Social proof and CTA
The last part where we ourselves are biased when it comes to making a purchase without trust. The CTA button will be clicked aggressively if you have strong social proof. Social proofs are included with testimonials, reviews, and brand logos. Even better if you have videos of them all. But, hold your horses. How to outwit your competitor here? Use influencers either big, small or micro influencers that have their own specific niche. All of your competitors already have testimonials like you but your funnel is recommended by someone your audience trusts. That’s a big difference.
Last question, how to be creative to slay all of these 3 parts? Experimenting with all your ideas a lot. Until then you’ll hit a jackpot. Stay strong.
That’s a wrap.
